Grundfunktionen
Einfache Installation
Wenn der LKW mit den erforderlichen Optionen ausgestattet ist, kann das SOPHIE-RC-System problemlos in ausgewählten VOLVO-Vertragswerkstätten installiert werden.
Komfortable Handhabung
Um das System zu aktivieren, muss der Fahrer nur eine spezielle Taste in der Kabine drücken, um das System zu aktivieren. Nach einigen Sicherheitsprüfungen sind die folgenden Funktionen auf der Fernbedienung verfügbar:
- Starten und Stoppen des Motors
- Auswahl der Fahrtrichtung
- Beschleunigen und Bremsen
- Aktivieren und Deaktivieren der Parkbremse
- Lenken
- Standard- oder niedrigste Gangschaltung; optional hoch/runterBerganfahrhilfe
- Hupe
- Temporäre Überbrückung der Kollisionsvermeidung
- Not-Aus
Sicherheit
Die Sicherheitsfunktionen der Software und die Hardware-Integration in den LKW wurden vom TÜV Süd unabhängig geprüft, um einen sicheren Betrieb zu gewährleisten.
Der Einsatz der Fernsteuerung ist mit einer vollen Straßenzulassung bis zu 10km/h erlaubt. Die meisten Kunden wünschen eine weitere Begrenzung auf 4 km/h oder 6 km/h.
Manövrieren auf engem Raum
Mit der Fernsteuerung kann der Fahrer das Fahrzeug sicher vorwärts und rückwärts fahren, mit voller Lenkfunktion. Dabei ist die Geschwindigkeit auf 6 km/h begrenzt. Er kann immer eine Position wählen, in der er die möglichen Gefahrenbereiche am besten überblicken kann.
Schnelles Be- und Entladen
Oft müssen z.B. auf Straßenbaustellen Baumaterialien in Abständen von 10m oder 20m abgeladen werden. Mit dem SOPHIE-RC ist es nicht mehr notwendig, dass der Fahrer in die Kabine steigt, um das Fahrzeug zu bewegen. Auch die präzise Platzierung von Behältern und Anbaugeräten wird erheblich erleichtert und wertvolle Zeit gespart.
Präzises Arbeiten mit Anbaugeräten
Viele Anbaugeräte erfordern das Fahren mit niedriger Geschwindigkeit. Mit dem SOPHIE-RC Antriebssystem kann der Stapler sicher und präzise bewegt werden. Das spart Arbeitszeit und bei vielen Anwendungen ist kein zweiter Fahrer erforderlich.

Integration von Funktionsaufsätzen
Verfügt das Fahrzeug über einen komplexen Aufbau, einen Kran oder einen Funktionsaufsatz, kann die SOPHIE-RC so erweitert werden, dass sie gleichzeitig auch den Aufbau oder Kran steuern kann. The MMG acts as a gateway to enable wireless communication for various mining machines. Easy installation
If the truck is equipped with the necessary options, the SOPHIE-RC system can easily be installed at selected authorized VOLVO workshops.
Comfortable Handling
In order to activate the system the driver just needs to press a dedicated button in the cabin to activate the system. After some safety checks the following functions are available on the remote control:
- Starting and stopping the motor
- Driving direction selection
- Accelerating and Breaking
- Activation and deactivation of the parking break
- Steering
- Gear shift default or lowest; optional up/down
- Hill start aid
- Horn
- Collision avoidance temporary override
- Emergency Stop
Safety
The safety functions of the software and the hardware integration into the truck were independently approved by TÜV Süd to ensure a safe operation.
The use of the Remote Control is allowed with a full on road permission up to 10km/h. Most customers require a further limitation down to 4 km/h or 6 km/h
Maneuvering in confined areas
With SOPHIE-RC, the driver can safely drive the vehicle forward and backward with full steering function. With speed limited to 6km/h. He can always choose a position where he can best overlook the possible danger areas.
