Added Value for Trucks as working machine with Radio Remote Control
In many tasks using a truck body loading crane the vehicle has to be moved by a short distance. That’s the case e.g. with placing temporary roads, lane dividers or using jetting vehicles, suction excavators or in the maintenance of road illumination. To remotely maneuver a truck MobileTronics since 5 years provides SOPHIE-RC for „Safe OPeration and High Efficiency“ replacing a second driver or avoid delays by permanent in-out to the cabin. This increases work productivity and safety of work.
In many working application the remote control is essenial for productivity. Therefore all new installations are equipped with a secure remote service function via the Internet and VPN: Using a small Remote Gateway device the driver quickly can set up an encrypted connection to MobileTronics. The driver is then supported in diagnostics or by remote configuration changes.
The separately Functional Safety certified SOPHIE-RC Radio Remote Control System has a complete on-road permission in Germany. It is currently exclusively available for Volvo Trucks as only Volvo provides a complete electronic interface for driving.
In most applications, SOPHIE-RC saves a lot of time by Remote Control rather than entering the cabin or it saves cost by being able to operate truck and working machine by a single person. Therefore, MobileTronics provides secured remote support in case of problems via a communication unit and a hotspot using the driver’s mobile phone.
